Jacking Pipes

Pipe jacking is a special tunneling method for installing pipelines with a minimum of surface disruption and no ground digging.  Because of its excellent economic benefits and environmentally friendly methods, the pipe jacking technique has reached a superior technical standard.

Jacking Pipes made by Meyer Pipes GmbH are corrosion resistant, have great dimensional accuracy and offer more than enough axial compressive strength to withstand the high forces during the jacking process.

Benefits of Polymer Concrete Jacking Pipes:

  • corrosion resistance = long life and reliable service
  • high compressive strength = high jacking forces plus large security factor
  • extremely tight tolerances
  • low weight = easy handling
  • smooth, even, non-absorbent exterior surface = minimum friction during jacking
  • exactly parallel pipe faces = even pressure transfer
  • optimum elasticity = lower breaking risk
  • smooth, even inner surface = large flow capacity
  • size made to order = use with any pipe jacking machinery
  • complete system: Meyer Pipes system manholes and manhole lids  fromone source

Polymer Concrete jacking pipe with kite-shaped profile

During dry weather periods, this pipe has a higher scouring velocity than pipes with a circular cross-section, therefore improving self-cleaning. The kite-shaped profile combines the best of both the circular and egg-shaped profile.
